The mark, worn. Placed small at the chest of an oversized black T-shirt. Two portraits. The garment stays the same. The person changes. Read more...
AD1
It begins with a split toe and a broad, low profile. Four openings run through the upper. Two converge toward the front, giving the shoe its geometry without adding anything to the surface. The shape is substantial. The forefoot is rounded and wide; the opening around the foot stays close. From above, the split sets a strong central axis. From the side, it largely disappears, and AD1 reads as a single, heavier silhouette. Its character sits between those two views: mass against negative space, and one division altering an otherwise... On the Name: adsurdam
A garment begins as a series of decisions. Form, proportion, material, construction, expression. Some things are reduced to their essentials. Others are taken to their extreme. Neither restraint nor excess is an end in itself. The name is drawn from reductio ad absurdum — a method of reasoning that tests a proposition by following it to contradiction. Every assumption is open to question. Nothing is accepted simply because it is familiar, expected, or established. A seam may disappear because it serves no purpose. A graphic may occupy the entire garment... Read more...
The Name
Five years. Three labels. One garment. One colour. California, 2026.The standard is shared. The expression is not. I The First Garment The first release is a single garment from adsurdam: the Modal Boxer, in Absolute Black. The constraint was deliberate. A first object should be one its maker cannot hide behind: no styling, no novelty, no second piece to carry the first. A boxer is worn against the body, under everything, seen by almost no one. If the material, the cut, or the construction is wrong, there is nothing else... Read more...

Red Mountains
The landscape resists a single reading.  Color exists in separation — bands of red, ochre, and mineral deposit, shifting under changing light. As the light moves, the surface appears to flatten and deepen at once. The outline is difficult to fix. Edges are present but do not hold. What seems defined at one moment softens at another. The image cannot be resolved into a single form.Nothing has been altered. The conditions are recorded as they were. Read more...
On Foundations
Nothing is added beyond what is required. Two garments — the T-shirt and the boxer — each developed with the same discipline: refined proportions, stable fabrics, controlled construction. Materials are selected for consistency. Fit is developed to hold over time. The pieces are intended to integrate into daily use without adjustment. Design reduced to essential function. A foundation. A New Chapter
Escalators, corridors, stations — small passages between departure and arrival. adsurdam begins in that space. The first pieces are essentials. Clean lines. Controlled proportions. Materials chosen for everyday wear. Cities are built on movement. Read more...
